Winter’18 Release Notes – Activity Lightning Components (myTasks & myEvents) for Salesforce

Let’s celebrate this year holiday season by giving your users access to the biggest upgrade to their favorite myTasks and myEvents (Activities) Lightning Component by Webider. The Webider’s team has put countless hours to add much more new features to the famous Activities Lightning Components based on our customers’ feedback. They continue to work to add many more in the future. With this Winter’19 release, you will see the following new enhancements to the components:

  • UI/UX Improvement to match Salesforce Lightning Color Scheme and additional One-Click Actions
  • Dynamic Component UI/UX layouts based on Component Properties (Point&Click)
  • myTasks/myEvents list based on hosted record e.g. The component can be configured to show only Tasks related to Account or Contact or any object
  • Additional Component Properties e.g. Sort by any field, Restrict to Host, Hide Filter Box etc
  • Introducing new Action Bar for Mass-Actions and User Settings (coming soon) 
  • In-line Actions to update the Tasks or Events

Comparison Screens

myTask Component Properties Definition:

  • Header Label: Custom label for a component
  • Sort by: Define the sort order for the list based on any column
  • Sort Type: Define ascending or descending order on the sort by selected field
  • Tasks per page: Define how many tasks to show in the component list – now a picklist
  • Show Comments: Define either don’t show comments in the list or show one-line truncated or show full comments.
  • Hide Related: Hide the links to related objects to the tasks
  • Hide Label: Hide the top component label
  • Hide Filter Boxes: Hide Blue Filter boxes for quick actions
  • Hide Status: Hide the Status of a task
  • Hide Priority: Hide the Priority Status for tasks
  • Show Priority Flag: Show the Priority Flag at the end of the task subject
  • Restrict to Host Record: Restricts the list of tasks to the related object where the component is place e.g. Account page will only show tasks related to the account being viewed
  • Show Null First: Shows tasks with no due date first in the list

myEvent Component Properties Definition:

  • Restrict to Host Record: Restricts the list of events to the related object where the component is place e.g. Account page will only show events related to the account being viewed
  • Hide Location: Hides the location of the events from the list  

New Features Screens

  • Dynamic UI/UX controlled by clicks and not code. By configuring the myTasks or myEvents component properties, you can easily change the layout of the component to either display rich detailed information or show only a compact view wit list of the tasks or events.

  • The only activities component supported by Salesforce Communities

  • Use the components in the Utility Bar

  • Restricts the list to show tasks or events related to the object record.

  • New Tasks inline Actions and New Filters available in both Mobile and Lightning Desktops
  • New Events inline Actions and New Filters available in both Mobile and Lightning Desktops
