Permissions to End User to See Travel Management App (Tab)

Make sure that you have assigned the proper permissions to the profile or persmission set to the licensed users to be able to access Travel Management app and it’s component including the ‘Expense Report’ tab.

Steps

Please only perform these following steps, if necessary. Otherwise, provide access to this App accordingly to your Company’s security policy and security setup for user in Salesforce
There are two ways to do this:

  1. By editing the profile
  2. By creating permission set and assign to desired profiles

Permission by Profile

  • Make sure you have edited the user profile and edited the Custom Object Premissions section to ensure that particular profile has access to Travel Management app section
  • Edit the profile or profiles that you have assigned to your users

 

Custom App Settings for Travel Management App

  • Go to the Profile and Click
  • Go to Assigned Apps section and select Travel Management as Visible.
  • Goto Object Settings section and update the picklist value to Default on for Travel Management tabs i.e. Travel Schedule, Travel Requests, Expense Reports, Expense Items and Getting Started
  • Set Custom Object Permissions and set Basic access (Read, create, Edit and delete) to Travel Requests, Estimated Expenses, Expense Reports, Expense Items, Associated Account,Associated Contact,Associated Event,Associated Lead and Associated Opportunity object. This allows users to add/edit/delete their own Records.

Following Steps for Travel Requests Object

  • Profile Overview> Object Settings > Travel Requests
  • Click on edit.
  • Tab setting Default on
  • Object Permissions, Check Read,write,edit and delete
  • Field Permissions check read and edit for all fields
  • Click Save
  • Please Repeat same steps for the Estimated Expenses, Expense Reports, Expense Items, Associated Account,Associated Contact,Associated Event,Associated Lead and Associated Opportunity.

  • Please make sure you have Set Field level security Visible to “Travel Request” Field on Activity Custom Fields
  • Enable Visualforce Page Access

    • Profile Overview> Visualforce Page Access > Edit
    • Select all pages start from prefix “webider_tm***” from ‘Available Visualforce Pages’ box to ‘Enabled Visualforec Pages’ Box.
    • Click Save

    Enable Apex Class Access

    • Go to Enable Apex Class Access section and Click Edit
    • Make sure you have all the “webider_tm***” Apex Classed added to ‘Enable Apex Classes Section.
    • Click Save
